I’ve begged friends to give me the internet equivalent of a rubber band to snap on my wrist whenever I get the urge to look at [like I’m telling you, I’m trying to move on!]’s various web “presences.” I have found it.

Reading first volume of Susan Sontag’s published notebooks in bed and the flow of quotes, lists, and portraits remind me of tumblelogging but then every diary makes me think of how I keep one, too. This at least has more grace than Anais Nin and LiveJournal.
