1. Celebratory private-diary-reading-in-a-public-place in the East Village in a few hours. Call in sick now.

  2. Dear Internet / 2009.10.20

Last week I read you my diary and that was lovely. Today I want to do it again. I’ll be at the Standard Hotel (which has a webcam but I don’t think you can see me on it). I’ll be taking guests beginning around 4pm for about 2 hours. Check Twitter to see when I’ve actually arrived and where I’ve put myself.

Here’s the rules from last time:

    • I will read you my diary right now if you promise not to blog it.
    • 5 pages or 5 minutes, whichever is less awkward.
    • The only rule is that what I am reading is just for you: no reblogging, and no cameras.

For today’s edition, I am adding the following:

    • Upon seeing me, if I am not sitting with someone else, you should ask, “Will you read me your diary?” and have a seat where I ask you to sit.
    • If I am sitting with someone else, wait until they have left before you approach.
    • After I finish reading, it’s okay to leave briskly and quietly. In fact, I want you to.

  4. @S___Elliott, who promised not to get me sick because he is only “emotionally sick”
